  • Ideas of persecution
  • Jealousy
  • Coldness and distance in interpersonal relationships
  • High degree of suspicion in the face of changes of situation
  • They see hostile and malevolent motives in the behavior of others
  • Displeasure with themselves leads them to react with violence
  • They can be effective at work, which they often prefer to do alone

* As a response to stress, they sometimes present a brief reactive psychosis or a delusional disorder.

* Some disabilities or defects may favor the development of this disorder.

* Unrealistic ideas of persecution appear coherent and may have elements of truth.

* Prevalence in the general population is 2.3 to 4.4%.
